We don’t want to be taking sides, we would really hate that. But for once, put yourself in Kangana Ranaut’s shoes. Everyone knows what has been happening with her over the past few weeks, after she made her nepotism remark on Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan. Initially, it started as a war or words between Ranaut and Johar with the latter later saying that he provided Kangana the platform to voice her opinions and that he could have deleted that part of the episode, but he didn’t.
Later, when almost every other celebrity gave any interview, or was caught by the media, they were just asked one question: “what do you think of Kangana Ranaut’s nepotism remark?” And everyone answered in their own way. While Vidya Balan and Sonam Kapoor kept their answers politically correct, there were others like Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan who gave insensitive answers. Here is what they had to say:
While some of the industry walas remained neutral on this issue, many spoke against Ranaut, and almost none in favour. And this came as no shock when Kangana Ranaut celebrated her 30th birthday just yesterday and almost no one wished her on Twitter.
There could be two (wild) reasons from the same:
- She is an outsider. So are Anushka Sharma and Priyanka Chopra. But when it is their birthdays, the entire industry joins hands to wish them.
- She isn’t on social media. Neither is Kareena Kapoor Khan. But just look at the love she receives from all her friends in the industry (on social media).
The point here isn’t really about how many wishes does Kangana Ranaut receive on social media, but that is this fair enough?
