Anushka Sharma has not only proved herself as a successful actor, but a successful producer as well. Barring Bombay Velvet, she has had a series of hits, as an actor or producer. But her Bombay Velvet co-star, Ranbir Kapoor hasn’t given a hit in some years. Though, his performance is praised in almost each film, but it just doesn’t make enough money.
In a recent interview, Sharma was asked if the failure of Bombay Velvet has affected her as much as it has affected Kapoor. She replied, “What happened to him was unfair. He is one of the best actors we have today. But it’s also because Bombay Velvet was Johnny’s film more than Rosie’s. I would have been held solely responsible if NH10 had flopped, not because I produced it, but because the film was riding on my shoulders. But, he continues to be targeted also because of the other films he did. I was relatively less affected because I had successful films before and after Bombay Velvet.”
On the work front, Anushka Sharma is now busy promoting Jab Harry Met Sejal which co-stars Shahrukh Khan and releases on 4th August.
