Rhea Kapoor shames websites for shaming the idea of women working together

We have known Sonam Kapoor to speak whatever is on her mind and we honestly love her for that. And now, we learn that Rhea Kapoor is the same kind, and we love her too (not that we didn’t). Recently, there have been various rumours on different gossip websites that there is a certain cat fight going on on the sets of Veere Di Wedding even though the film’s official Instagram handle is full of happy pictures and videos from the sets. And we completely believe that Veere Di Wedding has a rather happy set, one of the happiest we have seen in a while.

Producer and stylist, Rhea Kapoor took to Instagram to share a small note about how all is well on the sets and that people should now agree on the fact that women can work together! Here is what she wrote:

Dear websites, you can put out as many 'blind items' (a.k.a gossip you were too lazy to fact check) as you like pitting women against each other, it may get you clicks but it won't be the truth. Must you insist on shoving this tired patriarchal concept of women cat fighting into our film (which is not about a road trip) as if grown, intelligent women have nothing better to do. We will continue to be actual friends and try and make a kick ass movie and prove that women can work with each other, get along and have a blast. Because we can, we are and we will continue to. And on schedule. Please keep in mind how outdated, irresponsible and harmful your narrative is and frustrating for a culture of women who actually want to work together. There is no place for it anymore. Sincerely, The Cast and Crew of Veere Di Wedding (Our items aren't blind)
