Kangana Ranaut’s directorial debut, Teju, has been in the news for long now. The actress has gone on record talking about the project and that she would be shooting for that film after the commence of Manikarnika. But turns out, after the failure of Simran, the National Award winning actor has shelved the project.
While speaking to a news channel, Ranaut said, “Of course it was was the cards, but because Simran didn’t work a lot for things changed for me, unfortunately. So now I’m going to be working in the capacity of an actor. There is another thriller I’m doing and another inspirational story after that. So you still have to wait to test my directorial skills.”
About Teju, Kangana had earlier said, “It is a children’s film, and I have a lot of ideas and excitement for it. But it will be a difficult project to pull off, and I am looking forward to it.”
Even though Ranaut received good reviews for Simran, the film didn’t do well and this was Ranaut’s second failure this year after Rangoon.
