A Saree Affair: Rekha, Sridevi, Madhuri, Kangana and Vaani rock the nine yards at Virushka’s reception

The saree is known to be the Indian womans favourite outfit. And why should it not be? Powerful women, through History, have worn this garment and have taken pride in it. Our B-town divas too, never shy away from wearing one! At the Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli reception in Mumbai today, Rekha, Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit, Kangana Ranaut and Vaani Kapoor among other were spotted sporting the nine yards with utmost grace!

Rekha in a Kanjeewaram

As always, evergreen beauty Rekha stuck to her favourite and attended the Virushka Reception in a rani and gold Kanjeewaram saree. While we could have blamed someone else for overdoing the same saree style so many times, Rekha gets it just right every single time.

Sridevi in Manish Malhotra

With Manish Malhotra, and especially in case of a saree, Sridevi hardly ever goes wrong. We last saw her in a Silver Manish Malhotra saree during Diwali and now at Virushka’s Reception, she opted for a royal blue and black saree with golden work and a very heavy neck. We like!

Madhuri Dixit in Tarun Tahiliani

Not everyone likes it, not everyone can pull it off, but lately we have been falling for greens. And Madhuri Dixit gives us just another reason to! What we love the most about this look is that Madhuri chose to not wear a necklace and just a pair of jhumkas from Jaipur Jems.

Kangana Ranaut in Sabyasachi

Like Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma, Kangana Ranaut too is a Sabyasachi muse.   And we completely love her in this gold saree. What we love the most about it, though, is the extra long pallu! Do you think this throws resemblance to her character in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi?

 

Vaani Kapoor in Manish Malhotra

It seemed like Vaani Kapoor vanished into thin air after the release and promotions of Befikre. But looks like the fashionista is back to tinsel town to slay the circuit yet again!
