Nushrat Bharucha is currently riding on the success of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. While speaking to a leading daily, she spoke about the success of the film, her equation with Luv Ranjan and Sweety at lengths and said, “Personally, to me, this film’s performance signifies much more than just box office success. As an actor, I strive for my work to get noticed and with this film, I can confidently say that people have gone to the theatres in large numbers, loved the film and also loved my work in it.”
About Ranjan and his team and working with him over and over again, she said, “Luv sir stood by us through it all, believed in us against all odds. Success changes a lot of things and luckily, each film of ours has been a bigger success than the previous one. But it’s not always been great; we’ve also had long phases of not doing anything at all. However, we stuck together through thick and thin. For me, this success is far more meaningful because I get to share it with this team. I am today, what they believed me to be. Hopefully, and audience willing, you’ll see us do a lot more work together and even with others.”
Talking more about her character, Bharucha said, “It is definitely challenging to essay an anti-hero character, but I am elated with the audience’s feedback. It is a brave and risky move and it feels extremely rewarding now. If anything, Sweety has given me the confidence that I can play any character now. This success has left me wanting to do more and to be seen more. Audience’s love is addictive. I would do anything to stay loved by them.”
