The trailer of Dhadak could be one of the most awaited trailers ever. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film marks the dream debut of Janhvi Kapoor and also stars Ishaan Khattar. The film is the Hindi remake of the Marathi superhit film, Sairat. It has been remade in Kannada, Odia, Punjabi & Bengali and will be remade in Telugu and Tamil as well.
Talking about the performances, with this film, Kapoor marks her debut, but it doesn’t look like it. Seems like lil J has been trained and advised very well, possibly by the late Sridevi Ji, to bring this sort of conflict in herself in this film. Kapoor is a splitting image of her mother, not just in terms of looks but talent too. We have already seen the brilliance of Ishaan Khattar in Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds, and we bet, that we will get to see it again. Khattar plays the character of Madhur, who hails from a lower caste than Janhvi Kapoor’s Parthivi, and both of them fall in love.
Dealing with the problem of casteism in India, the film talks about how love knows none of these boundaries. Whether you belong to the upper caste (Janhvi Kapoor) or lower caste (Ishaan Khattar) or are rich or poor, if love has to happen, it will happen, and nothing can stand in its way.
