Kangana Ranaut is currently busy shooting for Mental Hai Kya, in which she stars alongside her Queen co-star, Rajkumar Rao. After this, she’ll fly to India to shoot for Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi for some days. And then, finally, the Tanu Weds Manu actress will begin training for Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s next in which she plays the part of a kabaddi player.
“Kangana’s Mental Hai Kya wraps up on July 11. She will immediately fly back to Mumbai (from London) and complete some patchwork of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. She has to devote two days for a brand shoot. But, for the most part of August, Ashwiny and she will be busy doing workshops for the kabaddi film,” said a source to a leading daily.
The source also added, “Ashwiny is screening national level kabaddi champions profiled to find the one who can handhold Kangana through the sport. While Kangana has already started practicing yoga to be able to master holding breath, a pre-requisite of the game, the prep will see her learning different kinds of holds and kicks. Learning the crocodile hold and wrist catch will be crucial. She will also need to undergo a change in terms of her physique. She will learn about the various lives of kabaddi players and their challenges.”
It’ll be interesting to see how Ranaut plays this character to perfection!
