The latest buzz about Shonali Bose’s The Sky is Pink was that Farhan Akhtar had replaced Abhishek Kapoor as the leading man in the film. But now it turns out that there is no leading man in the film. Farhan Akhtar will surely play father to Zaira Wasim, but it is a supporting role.
“Essentially, the plot revolves around Zaira Wasim, who plays Aisha, and Priyanka Chopra, who will be seen as her mother. Farhan, who essays the part of the father, doesn’t have as much screen time,” says a source.
The film is based on the life of the inspirational Aisha Chaudhary, who went on to become a motivational speaker and even authored the book, My Little Epiphanies, before she passed away at the age of 18.
