We had earlier told you that apart from Anurag Kashyap’s Gulab Jamun, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan had been offered Sailesh R Singh’s cop drama. But the couple had later stated that the film wasn’t happening and they were unaware of the development. A source told a leading daily, “Shailesh and his team of writers have reworked the script. It’s still a drama, but with humorous undertones. The main characters are two IPS officers who are married to each other.”
Buzz now is that the project has now been offered to Taapsee Pannu. “The makers have discussed the idea with her. It’s a strong female character, so the producers were looking out for someone with substance to deliver the part. Taapsee is yet to get a proper narration. Only then will she decide whether she wants to do it or not,” adds the source.
Apart from this film, Taapsee Pannu has Manmarziyaan, Womaniya and the sequel of Life In A Metro in her kitty.
