Shraddha Kapoor cannot contain her excitement with the spectacular response her recent horror-comedy release, Stree, received at the box office. Amidst her bustling schedule, she is all set on her toes as she kick-starts shooting for her next release today. Kapoor is seeking extensive training for the Bhushan Kumar production and Amol Gupte’s direction which is based on the biopic of ace shuttler Saina Nehwal. The actress has many expectations to live up to but is keeping her cool cap on.
While speaking to a leading daily Kapoor exclaimed, “I’m really excited about this film. Saina is the country’s sweetheart, a champion and a youth icon. It is a challenging role for an actor as it requires an immense amount of transformation. I hope Saina and her family would be on the set while shooting for some scenes as it will be nice to have them there, along with their support. I can relate to her journey as we are similar to our personalities and thoughts. We both have had ups and downs in life, bounced back so many times and our journey has been a rollercoaster ride.”
On asking her about the triumph during the third week at the box office, she smiled saying “It feels great that my film is doing so well. At the same time, I don’t want to get too attached to success. I want to keep my focus on my work”.
Amidst all of this, Kapoor’s latest outing, alongside Shahid Kapoor and Yami Gautam, Batti Gul Meter Chalu, released this week.
