Tushar Hiranandani whose Bollywood reserves boast works like Dishoom, Ek Villain, ABCD 2 and Grand Masti, is now working towards directorial debut, Womaniya. The film will star powerhouse performers Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar in the leading roles and will be produced by Anurag Kashyap’s Phantom Films.
The movie will be based on the biopic of the world’s oldest female sharpshooters, 86-year-old Chandro Tomar and her sister-in-law Prakashi. A source informs, “The team will be leaving for Uttar Pradesh, where the story is based, for a month-long schedule. Both actresses begin prep in the next few days and they are looking to wrap up the film by March.”
Pannu was last seen in Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan, while Pednekar’s last outing was Zoya Akhtar’s short in Lust Stories.
