Deepika Padukone’s sabbatical is finally over. The star actress has apparently given the nod to Meghna Gulzar’s next. An official announcement regarding the same is yet to be made but our sources tell us that the actor-director have been keeping their frequent meetings very hush-hush.
The project will be based on acid attack survivor Lakshmi Agarwal. The tragic incident took place when Lakshmi rejected the proposal of a man. This braveheart went on to start her NGO which helps victims to turn the corner and feel oneself again.
And what comes as a major surprise is that with this film, Deepika Padukone will take the Anushka Sharma route and co-produce it, the shooting for which will begin in February.
We can’t wait for this duo to come together and see what the forces of Padmaavat and Raazi bring to the table!
