India’s Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), also called Mangalyaan (2014) has been one of the most successful missions conducted by any country in outer space, and the credit for the same goes to the wonderful team of men and women, mostly women, who lead the least-expensive Mars mission to date.
Now, buzz is that R Balki, along with Akshay Kumar has finalised on a script to make a film on the proceedings of the mission and how it went through. Our sources inform us that Vidya Balan and Nimrat Kaur have been approached to play two senior scientists and have even given their nod to it. A couple of more actresses have been approached to play the other parts but nothing has been confirmed yet.
A source also told a leading daily, “The film is being called Mahila Mandal. In keeping with its title, it revolves around women. Nonetheless, the role that Akshay plays is of immense significance.”
With Balan and Kaur bringing their talents together, this film will be a treat to watch!
