Last night, Sara Ali Khan made her debut on Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan, along with her father, Saif Ali Khan. While Saif may be a Koffee pro by now, it seemed like it was all very normal for Sara as well. The young actress answered all questions with panache and proved that she’s indeed royal blood.
While talking about her relationship with Kareena Kapoor Khan, she said, “Kareena still says that ‘look, you have mother and you have a great mother at that.’ And what I want is for us to be able to be friends.” Further adding, “My father also never said that this is your second mother.” When Karan joked about Sara calling Kareena ‘choti maa’ the latter replied, “I think Kareena would have a nervous breakdown if I was to call her ‘choti maa’.”
The Kedarnath actress also went on to speak about the relationship her parents used to share and even today. “I feel that it’s very important to respect what other people want. I see my father today and I see my mother today and they are both much happier than I think they would have been together. And therefore everybody around them is happier. And I think what I have now is two very comfortable homes as oppose to one very uncomfortable home. I really think that I win.”
On the work front, Sara Ali Khan’s debut film, Kedarnath, also starring Sushant Singh Rajput, releases on December 7.
