A lot has been said about Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Leela Bhansali working together and then not working together. Earlier, there were rumours that Chopra had walked out of Bhansali’s Gustakhiyaan but the actress’ mother, Dr Madhu Chopra had put those rumours to rest. But what hasn’t been put on rest is the opportunity to work with Bhansali again after Bajirao Mastani. Our sources tell us that Chopra has signed the director’s next, Heera Mandi.
The film is based on the life of Gangubai Kothewali, one of the most dreaded pimps of Kamathipura in Mumbai’s red light area and Chopra has reportedly been signed on as the lead. While we’re cent percent sure our desi girl will pull off this role as a pro, we cannot wait to see how Bhansali shifts from palaces to brothels…
