It takes a lot to be Miss World. We may think that it’s all about wearing nice clothes and looking good all the time but it’s not just that. It’s so much more. After Priyanka Chopra won the crown in 2000, it was Manushi Chhillar who brought the crown home last year and today was the day when she had to pass on the baton to another Miss World, and it was Miss Mexico, Vanessa Ponce de Leon and her amazing final answer who took charge.
She was asked, “How would you use your influence as Miss World to help others?”
With much ease and warmth, Ponce said, “I would use my position just as I have been doing for the past three years – being an example. We all can be an example of good in the world.We all have to care, we all have to love, we all have to be kind. It doesn’t cost a thing and helping is not that hard. You just have to go out there and there will always be someone who needs what you have to offer. So, help anyone you can.”
