Deepika Padukone is a brand and a huge brand and there are no two thoughts about it. Recently, when the Padmaavat actress was approached to play Ranveer Singh’s wife in ’83, she politely refused the offer because there wasn’t much to do and because, of course, it would affect her brand value. Throughout her career, Padukone has made choices that have not only stood her out as an actress but also as a brand. So, when a survey was conducted recently, without any surprise, DP ranked the highest when it came to brand value, with a worth of $102.5 million.
Talking about the same, Padukone said, “The past year has been extremely special for me, professionally as well as personally. While it is an honour just being a part of a list such as this, to see my name feature on the top is certainly overwhelming! It is rewarding to know that people acknowledge and value your efforts and hard work.”
The survey had a total of 20 celebrities with a cumulative value of $877 million. But with the Khans’ tanking at the Box Office, and with the great grand success of Padmaavat, Padukone had to reign supreme.
