The very controversial show on Netflix, Wild Wild Country, on the life and settlement of Osho in America dropped last year, and people haven’t been able to stop talking about it. The show, which studies, in detail, the dynamics of the Rajneesh Movement in America, has raised many eyebrows and has even questioned the beliefs of many people across the globe. Amidst all this controversy, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, on the Ellen DeGeneres has recently announced that she is working on a project which will show the life of Osho through the perspective of his right hand, Ma Anand Sheela and she will be playing the titular role as well as producing the project.
The Quantico star said, “I am developing a feature with Barry Levinson. He is an iconic American director. We are developing it (from the perspective of) Sheela who is this guru who originated from India. She was his right-hand woman and she was devious. She created a whole cult in America. He was called Osho. I don’t know if you’ve heard of him. I am developing that next for me to star in and produce.”
Well, well, well, we sure are excited to see Chopra Jonas’ take on this character.
