Kangana Ranaut’s next film will be her own biopic

Ever since Queen released, there has been no looking back for Kangana Ranaut. That film  came to her when she was possibly at the lowest phase in her career. And then it happened, after which people haven’t stopped praising Ranaut’s work, until the infamous Koffee With Karan episode, where the actress called Karan Johar a ‘flag-bearer of nepotism’. Ranaut had stated that Johar would play that mafia in her biopic, if it was ever made, and guess what, it is being made.

Currently, the script is being penned by KV Rajendra Prasad, who also wrote Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and is expected to go on floors towards the end of this year. The film will be Ranaut’s second directorial project after Manikarnika. And while the actress says it will be a sincere and heartfelt account of her journey so far, we wonder what all are we going to get to see about her struggle through films.

But will she be taking names and blaming people? “How can I show my journey without people, I can’t be walking alone. But we will not be taking any names. The idea is to protect me and my life with all its highs and lows. In the end, it is the story of an achiever, a girl from the mountains who came into Bollywood without any connections in the industry or even a godfather, and went on to carve a niche for herself against all odds,” added Kangana.

Apart from this Ranaut has Panga and Mental Hai Kya to look forward to this year.
