Did Priyanka Chopra Jonas lose out on Inshallah because she walked out of Bharat?

Actors walk out of films owing to the fact that they might have other priorities or even emergency situations for that matter. Priyanka Chopra Jonas has Both when she decided to walk out of Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat. It’s been a year since she chose to marry and settle down, instead of doing the film, but we’re still constantly reminded of the same. In an interview while promoting Bharat, Khan had stated that he would, indeed, work with Chopra Jonas in the future if the role is good enough. But seems like the truth is anything but this.

That our desi girl is a Bhansali favourite is a no-brainer. After Bajirao Mastani, the actress and director had come on board for Gustakhiyan, which eventually did not work out and now our sources reveal that Chopra Jonas was in fact, the first choice for Inshallah as well. But come Salman Khan, and Bhansali was asked to approach another actress and that’s when the film landed in Alia Bhatt’s kitty.

Someone close to Khan told a leading daily, “You think Bhai will ever work with her again? Not in this life. Bhansali had to choose between Bhai and Priyanka. And the choice is a no-brainer.”

In other news, Chopra Jonas will make her Hindi film comeback in Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink.
