Wholesome. The one word that came to my mind while and after watching the trailer of Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink was wholesome. The film is about love and giving and family. It traces the life of Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Farhan Akhtar’s characters from the days of their early romance to them supporting and loving a dying child, who has a fatal lung disease. This child is played by Zaira Wasim, who plays a character based on Ayesha Chaudhary – an 18 year old motivational speaker and author, who died an early and unfortunate death.
The Sky is Pink releases on October 11, and has been produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ronnie Screwvala.
