It’s been a while since I have been deeply moved by one of Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ red carpet appearances. I loved her at the Met Gala, but neither of her Cannes 2019 looks took me by surprise. In fact, to be honest, none worked for me at all. But now, Chopra Jonas is at the Toronto International Film Festival, where here film, The Sky Is Pink (with Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim) is premiering, and she has nailed the red carpet look in an off shoulder Marchesa 2019 gown.
The monochromic gown has so much to speak for itself, we hove how the Mary Kom actress kept the makeup, hair and accessories minimum, letting the gown, and the belt speak for itself. While comparisons may be drawn to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s 2015 Ralph and Russo gown that she wore to Cannes, we think it’s a little unfair, because although similar in structure, both the gowns are starkly different, and we fail to pick one.
After its world premiere, The Sky Is Pink will release in India on October 11.
