Recently, Shahid Kapoor announced his next after Kabir Singh, and his fans have gone ga-ga over the news. The actor took to Instagram to announce Jersey, which is the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit by the same name.
While Kapoor is still preparing for the role, everyone was waiting to know who the leading lady of the film will be. Makers and the director, Gowtham Tinnanuri today revealed that it will be Love Sonia fame, Mrunal Thakur who will play the lead opposite Shahid Kapoor. In a public statement, Tinnanuri mentioned that it was Thakur’s stint in Super 30 that tempted him to cast her in the role. Speaking of the film, Thakur revealed to a leading daily, “So deep was the impact of the film that I couldn’t get it out of my heart the whole night, and immediately watched it again the next day. It felt like I had lived a full lifetime in two hours.”
Apart from this Thakur also has Farhan Akhtar’s Toofan in her kitty.
