Up until now, the Saina Nehwal biopic has only seen problems. First, it was about Shraddha Kapoor not being able to physically cope up with the practice sessions, and now, a few days ago, the new leading lady of the film, Parineeti Chopra, had a spasm in her neck and had to take a break from her practice sessions and the shoot. On November 15, the actress had announced on social media that she will have to stop practising and shooting.
But now the actor is back on track and has to shoot a sequence on Wednesday, which shall require her to play badminton for 8 hours. “Yes, this is accurate information. I’m a 100 percent fit now and I can’t wait to step into the badminton court and play the game again. I thank my entire ‘Saina’ team for their invaluable support and my medical team for making me heal so quickly and getting me back on court,” Chopra said in a statement.
The Meri Pyaari Bindu actress also added, “I’m feeling very positive to pull off the intense shooting schedule that lies ahead of me because it will involve me playing badminton for 8-10 hours at a stretch. So, I’m glad I’m back to full fitness.”
Tentatively titled Saina, Nehwal’s biopic is being directed by Amol Gupte.
