That Radhika Apte is a talented actress, all of us know. That she has been venturing into the world of fashion off late, we know it too. But did you know she has already mastered sartorial sensibilities? Apte was at the International Emmy Awards 2019, where she was nominated for the Best Actress award for her stint in Anurag Kashyap’s short in Lust Stories. The actress made six appearances at the prestigious award ceremonies, each one better than the other.
In Reem Acra
For the cocktail party, Apte opted for a Reem Acra number with a shimmery bust and a layered, frilled fall to her gown. What we absolutely loved about this look was that the gown ended where it had to and wasn’t floor sweeping long. She finished her look with minimal jewellery from Soni Sapphire and shoes from SJP Collection, making it a 10 on 10 for us.
In Bibhu Mohapatra
Apte was a head turner in Bibhu Mohapatra as she stepped inside the medal nomination ceremony. There is absolutely nothing we would change about this look of hers. The orange top and the contrasting bright blue hem in the skirt, balanced by a half white hem – it all just works out so fine. Shoes from Dyuti Bansal and jewellery from Chopard were Miss Apte’s choices for the night.
In Dior
It was the closing cocktail night and Miss Apte was the Lady in Dior. The Phobia actress stepped out in head-to-toe Dior and while we have no complaints from the look, we wish her hair was done up differently. This outing just made it a little boring considering that she had opted for the same hairdo for the two previous ones as well.
In Avaro Figlio
For her interview sessions, Apte opted for a more comfortable and easy look, rather than flow gowns or dresses and looked as chic as she always does, or perhaps more. This is our favourite look from the six looks at the Emmys. Wearing a Avaro Figlio outfit, minimal jewellery from Out House and shoes from Christian Louboutin this look on Radhika Apte is just perfect – the colour, the slit, the touch go leather! We also like the change in the hair.
In Iris Van Herpen
For the main awards night, Apte chose a rather risky number, but emerged victorious. In a cloud dress from Iris Van Herpen, jewellery from Chopard and shoes from Dyuti Bansal, Apte looked gorgeous on the red carpet as she walked with panache. The designer herself says, “Radhika looked just stunning in our Suminagashi Cloud dress. I was delighted she wore it for such an important occasion for her career. And I look forward to work with her and her team again in the future.’’
In Lia Stublla
It was the closing night and it had to be rocking. Our second favourite look on this list has to be this one, where Apte steps out in a shimmery slit gown, with puffed shoulders, from Lia Stublla, shoes from SPJ Collection and no accessories. We adore the dark shade of lipstick and the bun!
