3 Summer Dresses You Need From Dia Mirza’s Wardrobe

Over the years, Dia Mirza has reminded us, time and again, that the choices we make, not just in terms of fashion, need to be conscious choices. The actor and environmental activist is always seen with a steel/glass water bottle, as she steps out in sustainable brands. The first step in making people realise that we’re a mistake by giving in to fast fashion is to get rid of it for yourself, and Dia Mirza has done just that. Or may we just say, she’s always fashionably done that! We looked back at Mirza’s fashion choices, and picked up three dresses that should be in your wardrobe. Because lets be real, who doesn’t want to contribute to sustainability and look as stunning as Dia Mirza…

Anita Dongre

Anita Dongre seems to be a personal favourite of Dia Mirza. A little before the times of Corona, Mirza stepped out for the IIFA press meet in a coral maxi from Anita Dongre’s Grassroot collection. The outfit was breezy to say the least! Detailed to the T, Mirza’s ombre maxi was in all shades of coral, the skirt of which was layered, and each layer ended with ruffles, just adding to the drama of it. While Mirza opted for gold heels to go with her outfit, you can totally go with flats or even plain white sneakers to give it a more casual look!

Punit Balana

If you’ve been reading our pieces, you know Punit Balana is a personal favourite. And seems like he is one of Dia Mirza’s go-to designers too! Off late, Punit Balana has become the go to designer for our B-town girls. Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Rasika Dugal, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Tara Sutaria, Aditi Rao Hydari – you name them and they’re wearing the Jaipur based designer. And why should they not. For a United Nations Sustainable Development Goals programme in New York, Mirza stepped out in a mustard shirt and skirt set from Balana’s Rabari collection and it’s exactly what your wardrobe needs for an outing with your girls! Slightly puffed sleeves, a bow at the waist and the Rabari print all over, this is your go to summer dress. It’s technically not a dress, but looks like one!

Saaksha & Kinni

In January this year, Dia Mirza championed the cause of child safety against sexual violence at an event, for which she wore a breezy printed dress by Saaksha & Kinni. The actor is loyal to this designer label too, but this was one of our favourite outings of her. The strap maxi was the perfect colourful maxi one could own, with geometric prints all over. Mirza finished the look with emerald green heels and stud earrings of the same colour. Wear this look to the beach, or at one of your brunch dates and set everyone talking!
