Sushmita Sen’s digital debut, Aarya, premiered on Disney+ Hotstar this Friday and by now people are mad about the show (our review comes out today), and all of it in the positive light. Aarya is a remake of the Dutch series Penoza. The show begins off as a story of a family – a couple in love, a house, children. But seconds into the trailer, you see that it is about a dark world that lies beneath the happiness. Aarya’s (Sen) husband has been killed and she takes over his business of illegal medicines. But, the real challenge is to protect her family.
In the series, you see Sen’s Aarya’s sartorial sensibilities soaring high and kudos to stylist Theia Tekchandaney who made this happen. For the mehendi ceremony at her sister’s (Soundarya) wedding, you see Sen’s Aarya in a silk yellow lehenga, and ladies, let us tell you that is the lehenga you need in your lives. Maybe not exactly that, but the colour is definitely a go to for your summer wedding plans. We’re sure the lockdown has ruined half of your plans, but for the other half, trust us, you need this lehenga.
Sen wore a Raw Mango lehenga on the show, and paired the outfit with jewellery from Golecha Jewels. You can easily get your yellow lehenga look and style it with your heirloom jewellery that’s been kept at home for a while now! So what’re you waiting for, pick your yellow lehenga from any of the ones below and you have a wedding look!
Depending upon the function you have to attend, we’ve chosen five yellow lehengas for you, that you can wear at your BFFs mehendi or even on her big day, but ladies, take it from us, if you want to run around and dance and have fun, opt for the lehenga from Punit Balana. Truth be told, you can also wear some of the pieces (Sabyasachi, Anita Dongre, Abinav Mishra) at your own engagement…
