Dum Laga Ke Haisha was Ayushmann Khurrana’s fifth release, in a matter of three years but the nuances of Prem Prakash Tiwari that he brought out were terrific. DLKH is not just one of our favourite films of all times, but even Prem is one of our favourite characters ever! Even though Bhumi Pednekar, as the fat and rejected Sandhya made more of an impact for us, Khurrana’s Prem doesn’t lag behind.
Forced to marry, Prem marries Sandhya but there is no love. She tries her level best but his idea of beauty is very superficial. He wanted to marry someone who looked, let’s say, at least not fat. The illiterate Prem is not concerned about how educated his wife is. However, eventually, like in almost all Hindi films, they find love and live happily ever after!
