While we may sing praise for all those who live and die in honour of their motherland, there are many unsung heroes who do the same job, but are never spoken of. One such person is Alia Bhatt’s Sehmat. Based on a true story, Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi is a tribute to all of them.
Over the few years that Alia Bhatt has been in the industry, she has proved that she may be the youngest of them all, but deserves to be in the top league. Today she goes shoulder-to-shoulder with actresses who have been working in the industry for years. In the film, Bhatt plays Sehmat, and Indian spy, who is married to a Pakistani army officer (Vicky Kaushal) so that she can be the ‘eyes and ears’ of India in Pakistan.
The short teaser of the film and three posters released before the trailer had put us in a lot of intrigue and now we are even more excited for the film. Releasing on 11th May, Raazi is produced by Junglee Pictures and Dharma Productions.
