The black buck case lands Salman Khan & Priyanka Chopra’s Bharat in trouble

Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra we’re supposed to begin shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat towards the end of July in Europe. But now, it turns out that Salman Khan will not be allowed to shoot across Europe because of his conviction in the black buck case. Since the superstar is out on bail, the governments in India and across Europe will not allow Khan to set foot on international ground. You may say that he is going for the Da-Bangg Tour in the US, but that is because the dates for the same were finalised and signed upon before the conviction.

A source close to the production told a leading daily, “There is a fair chance that  Salman will not be allowed to enter the UK given his conviction in the case. He is currently out on bail and has been permitted to perform in the US because the concerts had been announced beforehand. Bharat was to kick off in London, followed by stints in Spain, Poland and Portugal. But, it will be difficult for Salman to procure permission to shoot in any of the European countries for extended period of time. As a result, Zafar as only briefed the team about the first schedule that will be held in Punjab.”

The team is also looking at changing the shoot locations from exotic European locales to Abu Dhabi or even Cannada. “Canada is another option. However, with the current terms of his conviction, Salman can’t shoot a straight 45-day schedule outside India. Even if the courts allow it, it may draw unnecessary attention from people. The team has decided it’s best to avoid shooting overseas,” the source added.

We so want this to get sorted soon. It’s high time we get to see the lovely Piggy Chops back on the silver screen!
