The Best Dressed Celebrities at Met Gala 2019

Who nailed fashion’s biggest night?

It’s that time of the year, it’s the first Monday in May! Call it the “Oscars of fashion” or the “Super Bowl of fashion” or the “ultimate red carpet event of the year”, we know damn well that the Met Gala lives up to each superlative. And this year was no exception.

Based on Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay titled “Notes on ‘Camp”, this year’s Costume Institute exhibit theme is “Camp: Notes on Fashion”. “The essence of Camp is its love of the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration,” wrote the writer. Sontag further elaborated: “Camp is a woman walking around in a dress made of three million feathers.” The message seems loud and clear: SERVE US THE DRAMA. That’s exactly what was brought on by A-listers who put their own spin on the “Studied Triviality” dress code.

So if you didn’t snag that $35,000 ticket, fret not. Here are the looks from Met Gala 2019 which you don’t want to miss…
